Beer Image Beer Name: Sierra Nevada Glissade Golden Bock
Brewer Name: Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
Style: Helles
Beer Description: * Glissade is a remarkably mellow take on the traditional spring bock. With restrained sweetness, we emphasize subtle malt flavor, balanced against delicate aromas of spicy and floral European hops. This complex balance helps Glissade slide across the palate—bracing us against the last cold nights of winter, while its bright golden color turns our thoughts toward spring.

I struggled with this one. Is this beer bland or subtle? I settled on subtle. I feel like there is a lot going on in the malt profile. As noted by Phil, the beer is bitter. But I think it compliments the front of the beer. I'm glad I bought a sixer of this rather than a single.

A Nice bock. Smooth, a little malty with a mildy bitter finish.

A well balanced ale. Not as bitter as many of Sierra Nevada's hopped-up brews, but I liked the flavor. The initial taste was a little sweet; the aftertaste was slightly bitter. It had a creamy feel when rolled around the tongue. Crystal clear, light amber color. The head was weak and lasted only briefly.

This beer fits well with Spring. Comes on soft and mellow with a nice yeasty smell and taste; slightly sweet, supremely easy to drink with an ABV that's decent enough to mellow you out as well. Some beers I only want one of but this is like aspirin, take two. It's doesn't have a taste that slaps you around but it doesn't aspire to that.

I didn't care for this too much. Light, little flavor. Finished a little bitter (in a bad way). Tasted a lot like a macro lager. I do like the fact that Sierra Nevada constantly releases new beers. This wasn't the best, but I'm still a huge fan of theirs.

Light body and easy drinking, but not overly flavorful. It's sort of mellow and boring really, but completely unoffensive.
